The Ashburton Chefs’ Academy

While learning from the team of highly experienced, professional chef tutors at The Academy, students have the opportunity to work with outstanding local produce to master the fundamental skills, techniques and discipline needed to succeed as a modern chef.

The Ashburton Chefs’ Academy is proud to sponsor Devon Restaurant Month. Its mission is to help launch the careers of the next generation of inspirational chefs who will go on to further their skills and love of the culinary arts, working at restaurants across Devon, and some will run their own restaurants here in the future.

During their chef training programmes with The Academy, students are exposed to the vital relationship between the chef and local food producers that provide us with some of the finest, seasonal and ethically produced meat, fish, poultry, dairy, and fruit and vegetables in the world.

The Ashburton Chef’s Academy says that customers who dine locally during Devon Restaurant Month will not only help our restaurants in challenging times, but also get to celebrate the wonderful culinary talent and dining options available, along with supporting the county’s entire ecosystem of passionate food producers, fishermen, growers and sector workers that sit behind every plate.
